We’re a friendly, professional team offering reliable tree care across Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Guisborough, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, and the surrounding villages. With over two decades of hands-on experience, we combine expert knowledge with a flexible, customer-first approach—whether it’s routine maintenance, emergency call-outs, or help with protected trees. Fully certified, insured, and CHAS-accredited, we’re committed to working safely, sustainably, and with care for both our clients and the environment.
- We have over twenty five years of experience and provide a flexible and proactive approach to tree care in the towns and villages around Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Guisborough, Whitby, and Robin Hood’s Bay. We pride ourselves in our customer care and communication and provide a friendly and personal service.
- Our tree surgeons are trained, certified and experienced in all tasks they carry out.
- We work for private and commercial clients and can be flexible/respond to short notice or emergency requests.
- We run a sustainable and responsible business, doing all we can to minimise our environmental impact.
- We can provide support and assistance in the application for work on, or removal of protected trees.
- We carry £5 million public liability insurance and are health and safety accredited via the CHAS SSIP scheme.
Peter
Peter has worked as a tree surgeon in the industry for over 20 years and it has become more than a job, it is his vocation. His broad experience covers many facets of treework, both as a climbing arborist and as a forester. He has worked and climbed globally, in Australia amongst the Eucalyptus and in the US, climbing the giant Redwoods of Northern California.
Cooper
Cooper is the team mascot and truck dog. His skills include chasing ball, stealing food, disobeying all commands and making everyone laugh. He loves being out on site, but when that is not practical he happily stays at home and “helps” Jo run the office.
Joanne Thomas

Jo was sadly taken away from us in early 2025 - The co-founder of Everything Trees and my partner.
She was not only integral in its conception and day to day running, but a driving force behind its ethos of caring for both the trees and our customers.
Jo was the best of people- her positive and caring attitude made an indelible impact on all she met. An incredibly knowledgeable naturalist and a lover of all things trees.
Moving forward, we are dedicated to build upon her legacy, building upon what she created.
